Deborah Faye Watson
Deborah creates each of her one of a kind Art-to-Wear pieces by hand dyeing her materials, laying them out to create the pattern she has determined and then felting the piece to its final design.
Deborah Watson has been a felter for 14 years. At first a handspinner and weaver but upon the receipt of a "gift" of several sheep the felting of their wool took over and a business was formed. Handfelted wool is transformed into custom-colored fabrics which turn into wooly vegetables, santas, and other holiday items, hats, scarves and lately fashion-forward garments. Deborah has participated in many juried and invitational shows. She has also been selected by "Early American Homes" magazine for their directory of the 200 top traditional American craftsmen.
