Media: Wood
I established my studio in 1986 after 2 years of intensive training at the College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking Program. Since then I have designed and built one of a kind furniture -- from jewelry boxes to church altars -- lighting fixtures, and acoustic guitars. I also wrote a book called "Making and Mastering Wood Planes," and I teach from my shop and at craft centers across the country. I enjoy the challenges of commisioned work as well as creating speculative pieces. My motivation is the quest to find beauty in relative simplicity. Inspiration comes from the kaleidoscopic beauty of wood. Quality and integrity are at the core of what I do.
