Quilt Top Shaker Boxes are produced using either size 3 or 4 ovals. The woods used for the box sides include walnut, cherry or maple. Various traditional quilt block designs are created on the lids using different naturally colored and grained wood veneers to enhance the quilt design.

Shaker boxes are produced by bending thin strips of wood into an oval shape after soaking in hot water. Copper tacks are used to complete the sides. The lids and bottoms are custom fit to each box by hand sanding and are held in place using the traditional method of wooden pegs.
