This unique pendant features a cluster of dangly gems and handwoven glass seed beads by jeweler Leslie Fawcett of Tennessee. With a needle and nylon thread, Leslie takes tiny glass seed beads and weaves them into larger beads that are then rolled up and sewn together. The use of the peyote stitch allows the ends of the discs to interlock when sewn together, and repeated passes through the beads reinforce the whole. Leslie uses a variety of gemstones, lampwork beads, and sterling silver findings that she has purchased over the years to enhance and complement the beads that she has created.
