Welcome to the Guild: You Are the Voice of Appalachian Craft

As a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, you are a vital part of preserving and promoting handmade tradition. One of the most powerful ways to strengthen the Guild is by sharing it. Your voice helps connect others to our mission, shops, fairs, and legacy.

How You Can Help Spread the Word:

1. Tell Your Story

  • Share your Guild membership with pride
  • Add "Member, Southern Highland Craft Guild" to your bio, website, and cards
  • Speak about what the Guild means to you—your story inspires others

2. Share Guild Events & Shops

  • Follow and repost from @craftguild
  • Tag us and use our hashtags in your posts
  • Help distribute flyers/postcards in your local community
  • Share Guild event info with friends, family, and customers

3. Promote the Guild Shops

  • Mention our shops to your customers and audiences
  • Direct people to the Folk Art Center, Tunnel Road, Grove Arcade, and Moses Cone Manor
  • Encourage shopping handmade—online and in-store

4. Amplify the Craft Fairs

  • Post about your participation before and during the fair
  • Share event pages and add your personal invite
  • Support and spotlight your fellow Guild members

5. Support Regional Outreach

  • Suggest local press or tourism contacts
  • Hang a poster or volunteer to distribute materials
  • Refer artists you admire to the Guild membership process
  • Include "Guild Member" cards with your work when selling in other shops
