Southern Highland Craft Guild Hosts Annual Holiday Sale Markets
Asheville, NC – The Southern Highland Craft Guild invites the public to kick off the holiday season at its annual Holiday Sale Markets on Saturday, December 6, and Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Folk Art Center. Both events run from 10 AM to 4 PM and feature a rotating lineup of Guild artists offering one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gifts at discounted prices.
Visitors will find an array of finely made items, including ceramic tableware, hand-dyed and woven apparel, fine jewelry, wood-turned bowls, blown glass ornaments, journals, cards, and more. Each weekend showcases a different group of makers, giving shoppers multiple opportunities to connect with artists and discover new designs.
Unlike the Folk Art Center’s year-round shop, this event is run directly by the artists, who set up booths in the Auditorium to personally sell their work.
The Folk Art Center, headquarters of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, is located at Milepost 382 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in east Asheville. In addition to hosting these special events, the Center houses three galleries, a library, a craft shop, and a Blue Ridge Parkway information desk and bookstore.
Admission is free to both the Holiday Sale Markets and the Folk Art Center. For details, including a list of participating makers, call 828-298-7928 or visit www.craftguild.org.

Chartered in 1930, the Southern Highland Craft Guild is one of the nation’s strongest craft organizations, representing nearly 800 makers across 293 counties in nine Southeastern states. Rooted in a legacy of supporting Appalachian craftspeople since the Depression era, the Guild continues to enrich the regional economy through four craft shops, two annual craft expositions, educational programming, and its headquarters at the Folk Art Center.
