An Organic Edge Opens in the Southern Highland Craft Guild’s Focus Gallery
Exhibition Dates: July 19 – October 5, 2025 | Folk Art Center, Milepost 382, Blue Ridge Parkway
ASHEVILLE, NC – The Southern Highland Craft Guild is proud to present An Organic Edge, the latest Focus Gallery exhibition on view from July 19 through October 5, 2025, at the Folk Art Center. Featuring five Guild members—Cindy Billingsley (clay), Bill Collison (wood), Alex Gray (mixed media/furniture), John Amos (printmaking), and Mary Alice Ramsay (handbound journals)—the exhibition explores natural forms, tactile textures, and the intuitive line between structure and spontaneity.
Each artist brings a distinct voice to the theme, united by their shared reverence for raw materials and craftsmanship. From sculpted animals and botanical carvings to hand-bound journals and layered prints, the works in An Organic Edge invite viewers to experience the handmade at its most honest and expressive.
An Organic Edge is located in the Focus Gallery at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 382), just outside Asheville, NC. Admission is free, and the gallery is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.
