I make jewelry to help people keep the peace that is found in the natural world close throughout daily life.
I am a metalsmith and jewelry artist focused on the intersections of nature and design. I use a variety of traditional metalworking techniques to create wearable and sculptural objects that are an exploration of the world around me, constantly evolving. I work primarily in sterling silver, fabricating hollow forms with pierced silhouette imagery, setting gemstones and carved wood, powder coating interiors, hand fabricating chain, and keum-boo.
Audrey Laine Sawyer is a jewelry artist and metalsmith with a naturalist’s approach to designing and making. She creates wearable artwork of heirloom quality out of sterling silver, gemstones, and intention. She loves her work and always tries to bring joy and wonder through the things she makes. She takes great pride in the quality of her work, driven by creative passion and natural curiosity.
In addition to Audrey Laine Jewelry, she collaborates on Sawyer Home Collection, bespoke home decor + functional goods with her husband, woodworker Jesse Sawyer.
She works from her home studio in the Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina just west of Asheville. She received a BA in Studio Art from Rollins College and studied metals at Haywood Community College’s Professional Crafts Program. She is a juried member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild.
