With a spirit that needs to create, I am drawn to all things fiber.
It is the tactile experience that thrills me ~ touchable, malleable, complex, and reusable.
Pastel sunsets over the waters of the Caribbean and the brilliant color contrasts when sky meets Earth fill me with inspiration.
I am primarily a wet nuno felter, at times I incorporate stitching and weaving into my work.
One-of-a-kind pieces of art are made of fine wools, silks, and assorted fibers. Snippets of yarns and ribbons are often mingled with remnants of vintage linens and fabrics cut from thrifted clothing.
I find refuge, inspiration, and peace in the gardens and woods that surround my home and studio in the foothills of the North Carolina Mountains. ~Betty Ann~
Betty Ann Winters is a Fiber Artist working primarily in Nuno Felting. At times she incorporates stitching and weaving to make one-of-a-kind pieces of art made of fine wools, silks, and assorted fibers, often using vintage and upcycled fabrics.

She began her journey into the world of felting in 2010 and has continued to study and practice her love of felting.
