I have been enthusiastic about and involved in fiber related activities as long as I can remember: first I learned to sew my own clothes; then I knit and crocheted; eventually I learned to spin my own yarn. I learned to weave in a series of private lessons in a weaver’s studio. Although this initial training got me started, it was many years before I considered myself proficient. My additional training and honing of skills have come through my weaving every day – learning and improving. I have five floor looms in my studio and work on all five continually, moving from one loom to the next depending on my mood, and what I want to work on. It is the most satisfying of tasks I have ever done.
