There is an air of mystery in all Plays in Mud pottery. Inspiration from life, the spring cherry blossoms or the curve of the the Blue Ridge Mountain range can be seen in the undulating patterns and forms of each unique piece.
All Plays in Mud pottery is designed and created by Kelsey Schissel. Kelsey Eared a BFA in ceramics from UNC-Asheville and has been making pots ever since. She began with simple surfaces, a perfectly placed individual stamp which eventually evolved into decorating the more and more of the piece until the entire vessel is one cohesive pattern. Each piece has a story, as it springs from her own imagination into reality on the surface of her pots.
