For over 36 years, I have had a love for weaving, spinning, and dyeing. For the past 21 years, I had have the job as the Weaving Resident Artist at the John C. Campbell Folk School. But, as of December 2020, I retired and am enjoying being a full-time studio fiber artist. Also, I am in my fifth and final year of the Olds College Master Weaving Program. This is a very intense weaving program that I am very proud to say I have taken. I have also presented programs, and have taught workshops, and classes nationally and internationally. Nothing is better than to create beautiful hand-woven and hand-dyed one-of-a-kind items!!
Today, careful planning and fine materials go into each one of Pam Howard's fiber creations. She uses only the finest materials consisting of silk, wool, cotton, rayon, and blends. Some of her creations are hand dyed and some natural dyed using local plants from our Appalachian Mountain area. Pam's love of weaving reflects in every piece she creates. Her unique creations indicate the beauty and peace of her surroundings in her woodland studios in Brasstown, North Carolina. Pam is currently enrolled in the Master Weaver Program through Olds College in Alberta, Canada.
