Diana Gillispie is both a potter and tile maker. For the past 20 years she's focused on hand made ceramic tile.
Recently she has expanded to include a line of contemporary pottery. Minimalistic in design, her work is inspired by asian ceramics, primarily Japanese. Pieces are available in either a matte black or white glaze.
Diana received her BFA in ceramics from Kansas City Art Institute and a MFA in sculpture/ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has taught at the college level and conducted workshops in various ceramic techniques. She has been working in clay full time for 40 years and is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, Asheville, NC and Piedmont Craftsmen, Winston-Salem, NC.
