Asheville, NC — Each year, the Southern Highland Craft Guild invites new artists to join its vibrant community of over 750 talented makers. To help aspiring members navigate the Guild’s two-part juried application process, the Guild is offering a series of free application workshops in 2025. These workshops will guide participants through the steps to submit a successful application for Guild membership.
The workshops are designed to provide valuable insights into the application process, including tips on submitting images and documentation. After attending a workshop, participants can request a review of their application before submitting it. The workshops are aligned with the image jury deadlines to ensure that applicants can confidently meet the submission timelines.
2025 Image Jury Deadlines:
- March 17
- May 19
- November 7
If applicants pass the image jury, objects will be due at the Folk Art Center by August 20, 2025.
In-Person Workshops will be held at the Folk Art Center, located at Milepost 382 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC. The Zoom Workshop will be held virtually for those who cannot attend in person. These workshops are a great opportunity to receive guidance from experienced Guild members and feel more confident in the application process.
