Asheville, NC - Each year, the Southern Highland Craft Guild seeks new creatives to join their growing network of ~750 artists. In 2021, the Guild made their image jury application available online to simplify the process for hopeful artists. While things have been simplified, the jury process can still seem daunting to potential members.
This year, existing Guild members will host three in-person workshops at the Folk Art Center and two via Zoom providing detailed instructions for completing the two-part juried Guild application. After the workshops, participants can request their application be reviewed before submitting it. These workshops are aligned with the image jury deadlines so that applicants can confidently submit their applications on time. The 2024 deadlines for the Image Jury are April 12th and November 8th. If applicants pass the image jury in April, objects will be due to the Folk Art Center by August 20th, 2024.
For more information about the Guild and an informal Q&A, members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild will host four Meet the Guild: Zoom Conversations this year for those interested in learning more about America’s oldest craft organization and the benefits of becoming a member.
