Description

In 1953 while watching corn husk dolls being made, Lila Marshall decided she would like to make them.  She taught and worked with many people in crafts.  She organized the Family Craft Center, “Shuckery & Wood Pretties,” of which there are 12 members (including the 4th generation) doing crafts from natural materials.  This includes the dolls, flowers, and wreaths from corn husk and the wreaths, trees, and candlerings from ” wood pretties” such as pine cones, nuts, seed pods, etc.
