Round disk earrings featuring handwoven glass seed beads by jeweler Leslie Fawcett of Tennessee. With a needle and nylon thread, Leslie takes tiny glass seed beads and weaves them into larger beads that are then rolled up and sewn together. The use of the peyote stitch allows the ends of the rectangle to interlock when sewn together, and repeated passes through the beads reinforce the whole.
