Painted and collaged wooden mountain landscape wall piece. These landscapes were inspired by Val's love of the mountains, and her roots in Western North Carolina. She use a mix of domestic and exotic woods to create depth and tonality in each one-of-a-kind piece. And, in an effort to cut down on waste, and be as thoughtful with this precious resource as she can, most of the wood used in these small landscapes is sourced from other woodworkers. Offcuts and pieces that are too small for furniture and cabinet makers are just right for these little mountains.

Oval serving platter with foxes and ferns. When artist Meghan Bernard created this design, she was inspired by a pair of foxes that moved in around her studio. The carvings are so sweet and whimsical. Each piece is thrown porcelain on the wheel and then carved. After each piece dries, she inlays the carving with black slip and then hand paints the rest of the colors.
