Description
Dahlia Bushwick was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. She holds a BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). In conjunction with studying for her degree, she pursued the tradition of glassblowing by apprenticing at studios in Maryland.
Following graduation, Dahlia traveled around the country working in different studio settings and continuing to learn and develop her work.
Dahlia is currently building her business in Asheville, North Carolina, while continuing to assist and support other artists in the community. Her work features glass’s unique properties to enhance the material experience. As a reflection of blown glass’s flexibility and transparency, her work focuses on texture, color, and light.
