XL Serving Platter/ Shallow Bowl with a mid-fired white stoneware body which is both functional and sculptural in form. The piece has been glazed with an ash glaze that leaves a nice flowing design in the finished work. Michael uses only lead-free glazes that are food safe as well as microwave and dishwasher safe, but do avoid extremes, such as going from a refrigerator into a hot oven. Not made for stove top use.

Small hand-hewn butternut bowl made with traditional techniques using an adz, chisel and gouge. This butternut bowl can be used to serve crackers, fruit or cheese. It works well and looks good. Hand gouge is used to dimple the sides opposed to sanding smooth.

Oval serving platter with foxes and ferns. When artist Meghan Bernard created this design, she was inspired by a pair of foxes that moved in around her studio. The carvings are so sweet and whimsical. Each piece is thrown porcelain on the wheel and then carved. After each piece dries, she inlays the carving with black slip and then hand paints the rest of the colors.
