Popular during the Art Nouveau Era and unlike the fragile antique jewelry these are made with a durable resin based enamel so they can be worn without the fear of breakage. Plique a Jour resembles stained glass windows in jewelry. Each piece is designed to catch the light so that the translucent colors can be seen. These heirloom treasures can be worn or displayed in the home as art.
